Facilities within Waitaha Canterbury District include:
- Christchurch Women - s Hospital
- Hillmorton Hospital and the Princes Margaret Hospital - Mental Health Services
- Burwood Hospital - Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation Services, including the Spinal injuries Unit
- Ashburton Hospital - General Hospital, south of Christchurch

**Ko wai koe | About You**
We are seeking non-training Surgical Registrars to join us in 2024 as part of our Annual Recruitment intake.
Waitaha Canterbury District offers non-SET Surgical Registrar positions in a variety of surgical specialities:
- Cardiothoracic
- General Surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Ophthalmology
- Otolaryngology
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Plastics and Reconstructive
- Urology
- Vascular, Endovascular and Transplant
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills & Experience**
- Completed PGY2 year or equivalent
- Completion of your General Surgical Science Examination (GSSE) would be advantageous
- A keen passion for surgery
- You will have experience in a number of Surgical Services.
- Knowledge and commitment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how the principles can be applied to health.
- A willingness to grow and further develop an equity lens and skillset, both to assist Māori and minority groups.
