**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
We are currently looking for a dynamic Senior Analyst to join our Evidence and Insights team.

In this role you will draw on your understanding of data, research and evaluation to inform service provision across Evidence and Insights. With your strategic and critical thinking you will contribute to the provision of authoritative advice to our key stakeholders. You will engage with our customers and work with the team to promulgate the insights being generated by the wider Evidence and Insights team.

Using your strong business acumen, you will share a positive and consultative working relationship with clientele and stakeholders and ensure that we are delivering products which support and ensure MBIE’s outcomes and deliverables are achieved. With a background in research, evaluation and data you will contribute to the provision of insights in relation to ISPD products and performance reporting for Evidence and Insights.

In detail, the function of this position requires an understanding of data, research and evaluation. Technical skills in data analysis and a sound understanding of research and evaluation designs and frameworks would be an advantage. You will be working in collaboration with the Manager Insights Stewardship and Practice Development in delivering and providing practical advice on analytic strategies and on shaping the team’s public facing tools. You will provide support to the Manager for governance related work and wider Digital Data and Insights engagement.

- Strong written and oral communication and a range of modes of communication.
- Proven experience in managing relationships with partners, stakeholders and customers.
- Intermediate or advance language skills in R; CSS; HTML; JavaScript and Jekyll (will be advantageous).
- Proven experience in project planning and management techniques to assimilate initiatives and resolve conflicts and risks leading to successful outcomes.
- Experience in leading and managing complex work and project teams.
- Ability to create insightful visualizations and used a wide range of evidence including data, research and other information to provide a foundation for evidence-based analysis.
