The Account Receivable Officer role is responsible for providing efficient, effective and responsive accounts receivable processing services for the Department. The role ensures the Department receives payments for goods and services, records these transactions accordingly, securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies.

**Attributes that would be great to have include**:

- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role - preferably from a government organisation that involves invoicing for multiple services
- Intermediate competency in the use of MS Word, Outlook, Excel
- Great interpersonal skills as you will be collaborating with the wider DIA team and customers
- Great organisational skills. You need to be highly organised and dependable to take ownership of this role
- Ability to pick up new systems and software with ease
- Strong communication is crucial for this role as there will be high volumes of communication internally but also to customers
- Possess strong organisational, time management skills, strong problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
