**The Opportunity**

Environmental Health/Alcohol Licensing team plays an important role in supporting the safety and well-being of Ōtepoti-Dunedin's residents. We are searching for a talented Environmental Health Officer or Liquor Licensing Inspector to work in the Environmental Health/Alcohol Licensing team here at Dunedin City Council (DCC) for a 12-month fixed term.

You will be part of an inclusive and fulfilling team culture, promoting individual and team growth to deliver effective results. You will focus on high-quality, agile customer service, and take a proactive approach to community education and engagement.

**The Person**

The successful applicant will have:

- Experience, and relevant qualifications, in environmental health and/or alcohol licensing, public health compliance and enforcement roles
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills with a calm, solution focused approach to issues

Prior experience in central or local government with an understanding of regulatory best practice and customer services would be a distinct advantage.
