**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have the opportunity available to join our Planning, Performance and Purchasing team as a **Senior Planner**. This permanent, full-time role will see you support with the aligning of NPHS Planning, to agree organisational, Ministerial, Government, Board and Public Health priorities.

This includes establishing a robust annual business planning process for NPHS that meets the requirements of accountability documents such as the Government Policy Statement, NZ Health plan or other identified Public Health priorities.

The primary organisational impact outcome sought from this position is supporting the development of an Annual Business Planning process for NPHS that is consistent with the best business practice of Te Whatu Ora and supporting the development of a 3-year plan which articulates future vision, broader Public Health goals and actions for NPHS.

- A relevant tertiary qualification
- 3 - 5 years experience specific to the job and work demands
- Some leadership experience, that may include having designed and managed a project of work and resources
- Able to build constructive and effective relationships with stakeholders to build a sound understanding of their operational environment and context
