**The Role**

The Head of Group Planning & Reporting is instrumental in building a culture of trust and transparency across MediaWorks, including with the Executive, Board and Auditors. Enabling the business to make sound financial decisions and to optimise commercial performance. With three direct reports, who are each responsible for managing the business partnering, financial control and data analytics teams within Finance, this requires an outstanding leader with a proven track record of delivering excellence.

Responsibilities include:

- Driving the group budgeting and forecasting process, managing workflow delivery against set timelines, creation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks. Providing reporting on actual performance against targets, making recommendations and advising on the best course of action to continue to meet budget goals.
- The content and commentary of monthly board reports and management reporting.
- Providing training and support to maintain a rigorous financial control framework, and ensure adherence to, and maintenance of the Group's accounting and finance policies. Attending and reporting quarterly to the Audit & Risk Committee.
- With your sound understanding of the NZ taxation framework you will provide guidance and oversight to the financial control team for tax compliance requirements, relevant taxation updates and reporting to the CFO and Board.

**About You**
- 5+ years senior leadership experience in finance with proven competence in delivering successful outcomes, developing a high performing team and adapting their different levels of experience and technical skill sets.
- You will be a hands-on person, with the ability to drive the collection of inputs from relevant stakeholders across Finance and the business. Resourceful, reliable and ready to hold the pen and write content that is insightful and transparent.
- A strong relationship builder with a collaborative attitude, ability to maintain positive relationships across a range of diverse stakeholder groups. You are resilient and always willing to resolve complex situations.
- High personal integrity, passion to perform and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- You have a sense of dynamism, are a confident and clear communicator with a we can do it attitude.
- Constant focus on delivery excellence, an outstanding attention to detail, presenting accurate and timely information.
