We are seeking a Senior Analyst Programmer (Java) to join ANZ’s Customer & Banker Platforms Team to play a key part in contributing to change initiatives across ANZ's Internet Banking platform.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
Code, test and implement platform upgrades to proactively reduce risk, increase performance and speed up our delivery function
Ensure successful implementation of software through following ANZ’s agreed software development lifecycle.
Provide accurate estimates of the programming effort required for implementation or alteration of software.
Work with the CAP and team to identify and implement methods of improving processes, system quality and efficiency to ensure that services provided by IT are integrated with and support the goals and strategies of the Bank.
Ensure quality control processes are followed.

What will your day look like
As a Senior Analyst Programmer (Java) within ANZ’s Customer & Banker Platforms Team, you will bring the following skills & experiences
You will be working in small teams where collaboration and relationship building is key.
You are passionate about writing well-tested code that follows good software development principles.
You will have proven experience working as a Developer, and are open to contribute to improvements within the development practises.
You will be comfortable with the unknowns.
You will have a pragmatic approach with a healthy dose of quality mixed in.
You’ll be open to share knowledge with your peers and obtain mentoring from team members.

But back to some of the skills
- Minimum 3 years of Java programming experience
Experience and a solid understanding of programming concepts. e.g., Java, Java EE, Spring Framework, Linux, SQL, Microservices
Strong understanding of Pipelines & tools for CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Git, OpenShift or Kubernetes)
Strong experience working in an agile environment (ideally Scrum)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-managing and a self-starter
