The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provides national leadership to New Zealand's distributed emergency management system. **Mo tenei turanga mahi | About this role**

In this role you leading the team focussed on creating a common operating picture of natural hazards and events for enhanced situational awareness for crisis decision making.

Reviews and inquiries have underscored the need for better emergency management information systems for over 20 years. While technology products have been adopted by NEMA and other parts of the emergency management sector a significant uplift is needed to enable interoperability, coordination, collaboration, and resilient communications for large-scale emergencies.

In this six-month assignment you will be the core programme team member facilitating independent specialist to deliver business cases for future consideration.

**Capability and Experience**:

- 10 years plus Programme Management experience
- Extensive IT project and Business Case delivery experience
- Successful delivery of large project/programme with multiple stakeholder organisations
- Contract Management.
- Programme Governance Board and Stakeholder management
- Adaptability, ability to pivot
