About the Role
You will be a seasoned Programme Director who will be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of our clients programme of work with accountability to the leadership team but specifically considering strategic, technology, commercial and operational goals. The Programme Director ensures the programme is maintained at the level of quality, along with applicable value management models, required to meet all contractual requirements against the agreed standards. 
Key Responsibilities
The Programme Director is responsible for (but not limited to):

- Initiating and setting goals for programmes according to the strategic objectives of the organisation.
- Preparing the programme briefs, project initiation documents or equivalent and business cases among other documents.
- Being the initial point of escalation for Programme Managers who are managing overall programme delivery, effectively controlling and managing issues, risks, dependencies and changes in scope and initiating corrective action as appropriate; escalating further if required.
- Overseeing programme schedule(s) to ensure that necessary projects and modules are completed according to the programme plan and business strategies.
- Planning, securing and managing resource and expertise requirements to deliver the programme of work, including from the client organisation.
- Facilitating a business environment that ensures the programme delivery will achieve the expected business benefits e.g. organisational change management.
- Delivery governance across all components of a programme of work including defining criteria for control and management of the programme or project.
- Leadership and mentoring of the organisation’s programme and project managers.
- Agreement and communication of standards and processes for project delivery, including reporting requirements, relevant and appropriate for the risk profile of each project within the programme of work.
- Preparing programme budgets, attaining necessary approvals in a timely manner and monitoring programme financials and the realisation of defined programme benefits.
- Establishing, managing and reporting on, and recommending appropriate action for the overall programme financial status.
- Ensuring programme delivery remains in alignment with the commercial agreement, in particular visibility of the high-level scope defined in the Statement of Work.
- Developing and managing vendor contracts / agreements associated with the programme of work.
- Transparently communicating overall Programme progress and forecasting to the Steering Group through exceptionally clear and comprehensive but lean reporting and metrics that give the customer the knowledge needed to make appropriate decisions throughout the lifecycle of the delivery.
- Working with the Application Services Leadership team and other Business Leaders along with Senior Project Managers to implement continual improvements to the end-to-end delivery of our products, projects and engagements.
