- Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience in:

- quality assurance, moderation and assessment tools, concepts, and methodologies
- the NZ Qualifications Framework, NZQA, TEC, and their policies and procedures
- Experience using data analysis tools and statistical analysis
- Experience implementing corrective action programmes
- Strong relationship management, networking, and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
- Well-developed facilitation, influencing, planning & organisational skills
- Project management experience
- IT savvy
- Strong attention to detail
- A current, clean, full New Zealand drivers' licence

A background in vocational education and the building and construction industry would be a bonus.

The BCITO Quality Assurance & Moderation Specialist is involved in all aspects of the BCITO's Quality Assurance and Moderation System - a system that focuses on best practice assessment principles and continuous improvement. This includes, but is not limited to, internal and external quality assurance, best practice assessment, reporting, and preparing and presenting evidence of assessment outcomes.

The BCITO Quality Assurance team works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality assurance practices go beyond the moderation of assessment judgements.
