Power Systems Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Bring a minimum of two years' experience in the power systems sector.
- Analyze and repair network protection and control systems.
- Respond to and repair network faults by participating in a 24-hour callout roster.
- Maintain and operate the HV Test Bay, including statutory six-monthly testing of assets and equipment.
- Develop and maintain test procedures for new and existing field devices.
- Undertake control panel construction, wiring, and commission.
- Assist in maintaining the data credibility of the network.
- Contribute to the overall performance and development of the unit.
- Acceptance testing and commissioning of substation, ground mount, and pole top devices.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain registration as a New Zealand Electrician.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills and maintain a positive professional demeanor, working diligently and proactively as an integral team member.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Registered Electrician/Power Technician with a Technical Certificate/NZCE or equivalent.
- Experience in testing and commissioning substations, overhead, and underground field devices.
- Electrical industry knowledge.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Experience in protection relays and control systems.
- Demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to workplace safety.
