We are currently seeking a dedicated Receptionist / Senior Hotel Receptionist to lead our front office team and ensure a memorable stay for guests at Microtel by Wyndham Wellington. As a live-in Receptionist, you will be involved the day-to-day operations of the front office, playing a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting reception duties, including check-in and check-out processes, with professionalism and outstanding customer service.
- Managing group bookings, arrivals, and invoicing.
- Handling reservations and updating them as needed.
- Ensuring consistent adherence to guest service standards.
- Managing online booking platforms and responding to guest queries.
- Contributing to sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Maintaining Qualmark ratings and Wyndham quality standards.
- Upholding security, health & safety, and other compliances at all time.
- Maintaining regular communication with management.
- Responding to emergencies and assisting with guest requests including after hours.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Living onsite and maintaining security, health, and safety standards.
- Liaising with management to resolve operational problems.
- Addressing maintenance issues within the property and guest rooms.
- Performing housekeeping duties if needed in urgent situations.
- Overseeing food & beverage operations and maintaining food control plans.
- Conducting stock take, ordering, and waste management for food items.
About You:
- Sound knowledge of Hotel Standard Operating Procedures for the Front Office.
- Understanding of housekeeping operations and minor maintenance issues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- IT proficiency, preferably with a PMS such as Opera or Opera Cloud.
- Self-motivation, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service and hospitality.
- Duty Manager licence is a must.
