**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**

Sustainability is fundamental to ZIWI’s brand proposition and future growth plans. We have created this new position for an experienced sustainability leader to help shape and execute the development of the sustainability strategy. This is a critical head of function role in the business.

You will be tasked with establishing a reporting framework, implementing emissions measurement and carbon reduction initiatives, and improving our environmental performance through the supply chain (including in manufacturing and working with suppliers). You will also establish and build a high-performing sustainability function in the business.

Working closely with ZIWI Executive Leadership Team to drive sustainability programmes whilst being a trusted advisor, you will lead champions across the business to execute this critical success factor.

With operations sites in the Hawke’s Bay, Tauranga, Christchurch and a corporate office in Auckland this position could be located in any of those locations. (The preference would be Hawke’s Bay). This role will require travel domestically, and occasionally internationally.

Reporting to our People, Culture and Sustainability Director you will bring:

- Global or national experience in corporate sustainability leadership
- The expertise to build a dedicated sustainability function ideally utilising your knowledge of sustainability in either the primary sector, FMCG or a manufacturing environment. (Pet food experience would be a significant benefit.)
- A passion for sustainability and a commitment to ethical business practices.
- A reputation as a team player who takes pride in setting and achieving goals with energy and enthusiasm.
- The proven ability to deliver results through collaboration and influence.
- An ability to lead the integration of sustainability into business decision-making across global functions to build success.
