The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have a permanent, full-time **Manager, Quality, Safety and Vaccinator Authorisation** opportunity available to join our System Enablers & Engagement Group within the Prevention Directorate of NPHS**. **This role is critical in enabling the delivery of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).

The **Manager, Quality, Safety and Vaccinator Authorisation** is responsible for providing operational leadership and support across the quality and monitoring, vaccine safety and vaccinator workforce portfolios. Our staffing in these portfolios ensure that quality frameworks, quality standards, operational standards, and tools for providers are developed and maintained to support safe and trusted delivery across our Screening and Immunisation programmes. The primary organisational impact outcome sought from this position is to ensure that robust clinical quality systems and processes are in place across the Prevention Directorate's Screening and Immunisation portfolio.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary degree with at least three years' experience working in the health system or other related field or significant and proven experience in similar roles the health or related NGO sector
- Strong knowledge and experience in business planning or performance management
- Able to demonstrate inclusive leadership and management skills able to maximise the quality and contributions of individuals and teams to drive outcomes
- Has the ability to monitor and analyse performance to ensure the quality of work, identify areas of improvement, problem solve, and make sound decisions to achieve goals
- Ability to think strategically and be agile and to solve problems through to resolution
- Demonstrates a desire to build constructive and effective relationships with stakeholders to build a sound understanding of their operational environment and context
- Some experience in the development and implementation of quality frameworks and standards is desired
