Significant experience at a principal or senior advisor level in strategic communications and engagement planning and implementation of work programmes in partnership with iwi, communities and stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with, and/or in, Government
- An ability to adjust pragmatically and constructively to changes in work practices, and to deal with competing demands, priorities, and a significant amount of ambiguity
- A strategic thinker with an eye to the detail
- Excellent writing and editing skills and experience presenting complex information clearly and simply
- Scans for, identifies, and influences, others to resolve complex risks and ambiguous situations
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Experience in facilitating and delivering community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Sound knowledge of communications and engagement tools, techniques, and channels
- A tertiary qualification in communications or a related discipline
- Training or qualification in IAP2 is desirable but not essential.

**As the Team Lead, you will also bring**:

- Experience at a mid-senior level managing communications and engagement functions in a large complex organisation
- Proven experience in leading, influencing and building credibility.
