**The Opportunity**

As a systems engineer you will be part of our Digital Services Infrastructure Team delivering and maintaining our IT infrastructure systems and providing technical support services to Te Whatu Ora MidCentral. In this role you will be responsible for ensuing all aspects of our hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure are operating optimally, reliably, and securely. As part of the Infrastructure Team, technologies you’ll own include our AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Citrix clouds, as well as our on-prem virtual server environment, identity, backup, security, and monitoring systems. You will provide technical expertise to projects, be a reliable escalation path for technical issues, and mentor/support your peers as we grow our knowledge and skills together as one team.

You will have a passion for exceeding customer expectations by delivering to a high standard and demonstrating ownership for the systems and technologies you support. You will be a proactive-thinker, constantly looking for opportunities to automate and improve the services we provide as you work collaboratively across Digital Services and across MidCentral. As part of our diverse team, you will be capable of working both unsupervised and as part of group, where your sense of humour, energy and drive will contribute to the team culture and modernise how we deliver. Most importantly, you will understand the nature of the hospital and how critical it is that the systems and business processes you own, and support, ultimately affect patient outcomes.
