The Environmental Advisor will be responsible for providing support to internal departments across the organisation while actively building and maintaining strong relationships with council environmental officers and stakeholders.

To be considered for this position you will have the following:

- A relevant degree and 2-5 years experience in Environmental Sciences, Resource Management, Natural Resource Science, or Mining Resources Management
- Sound communication skills
- Good knowledge of the RMA, regulations and relevant NES’s
- Ability to work in a multiple team environment

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist all departments in achieving company environmental commitments and policy values
- Fulfil the role on projects as the Environmental Advisor as required
- Be an active part of the Environmental Committee
- Investigate environmental incidents
- Prepare erosion and sediment control plans and resource consents
- Monitor resource consent compliance
