We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Workforce Hauora Navigator to join the Te Ara Oranga (TAO) team. As a Hauora Navigator, you will be an integral part of the TAO project, providing mātauranga Māori and tikanga support to both our ākonga and our kaimahi.

**Key duties this role will be responsible for**:

- Work alongside the Te Ara Oranga team to implement initiatives targeting Māori ākonga
- Assisting with powhiri and other cultural celebrations and events
- Actively engaging with students to identify and support specific spiritual, social, emotional and cultural needs
- Facilitating and co-ordinating hauroa workshops to enhance and promote student wellbeing
- Assisting the Health workforce Academic Mentors with pastoral support of ākonga

- Excellent relationship management skills
- Comfortable working with Whanau, Hapu and Iwi
- Comfortable with Te Reo Māori
- Knowledge in Tikanga Māori and knowledgeable in Mātauranga Māori
- Commitment to to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and an understanding of how this applies to health and wellbeing services
- Full drivers licence
- Some knowledge of Pasifika world views an advantage
