**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for someone as a **Kaihāpai Oranga**. The purpose of this role is to support Hauora Māori Tūmatanui and the regional directorate in Te Taitōkerau to build sustainable, long-term partnerships with a range of iwi, Māori and community groups. You'll be dedicated to seeing communities thrive, and will partner with them to deliver initiatives that realise Pae Ora.

**Mōu | About you**

You will work at a local level with colleagues to mobilise NPHS skills and resources for community initiatives that achieve Pae Ora. Through Hauora Māori Tūmatanui, you will support our regional prevention, protection and promotion teams to improve service delivery to iwi and Māori communities and other priority populations. You will be actively involved in localities collaboration and initiative delivery.

- Passion for Te Reo Māori and/or a willingness to develop skills in this
- Passion for local tikanga, history and stories and/or a willingness to develop this
- Lived experience or significant experience working alongside priority population and communities (eg: tāngata whaikaha, whānau with experience in the Justice System, rural communities, transitional housing, LGBTQIA+)
- Established relationship with iwi and hapū in the area you will be working
- Basic technology skills and a willingness to learn new systems
- Understand how to bring practically advance Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- A creative flair and ability to think outside the box
