Are you calm, resilient and passionate when it comes to dealing with people?
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and adaptable person who has the necessary specialist knowledge, skills and experience to make a major contribution to assisting victims of crime through the court process.
You'll make an enormous difference to the victims through what you do. You will keep victims updated on the progress of their case and help them participate effectively in the Criminal Justice System.
The role requires you to demonstrate:
- Resilience when it comes to working with people
- A calm nature and an ability to relate to people
- An ability to assist people who have been affected by crime and working with stakeholders and community support agencies
**He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience**
Your communication skills and understanding of legislative processes will enable you to work confidently and professionally in challenging circumstances and in an environment that requires liaising with multiple stakeholders. You will demonstrate sound judgement and the ability to work autonomously.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a confident communicator with sound judgment and common sense
- Have strong abilities in creating and maintaining effective relationships
- Possess cultural awareness and competencies to enable you to work with all victims and their whanau who are from diverse backgrounds
- An understanding of the dynamics of Family Violence and Sexual Violence
- Have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the sector
- Be committed to the principles of te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Bring an understanding of Te Ao Māori, Te Reo Māori me onā tikanga
A full driver's licence is required.

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**
The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,518 - $97,908 based on skills and experience.
