Hamilton, New Zealand Te Wananga o Aotearoa Full time

**About us**:
Education creates options and opportunities; it leads to increased economic independence and improved quality of life; it stimulates solutions to the challenges we face as individuals and our communities.

Our organisation was conceived on the notion that we could provide alternative education options for people whose needs were not being met by mainstream education providers. To this day, we continue to seek opportunities to engage, retain and support New Zealanders to succeed. Te Wānanga o Aotearoa is a uniquely Māori learning environment for everyone.

**About the position**:
The Advisor - Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) is an exciting role that includes
- creating innovative solutions to address identified literacy challenges
- supporting the LNAAT tool completions and
- supporting kaimahi (staff) to complete their LLN related qualifications.

The position reports to the quality assurance manager and is designed to contribute to the advancement of TWoA LLN objectives and to empower kaimahi and grow their LLN capability.

**About you**:
You will have proven experience in LLN development and supporting kaimahi, building LLN capability in a tertiary setting and ideally experience in carrying out research. You also understand the current NZQA and TEC requirements related to the LLN sector, and have connections, or are willing to connect, with LLN networks outside of the organisation.

**What we offer**:
We provide a nurturing environment for our kaimahi to help guide and support them by offering professional development, coaching and experiences that grow their careers. We offer Southern Cross Health Insurance, Cultural Leave, free car parking and opportunities for staff to enrol into our many programmes.
