We are seeking a skilled Head of Development to join our
**Dunedin-based** clients in this Senior Leadership position. You will lead, manage and mentor a team of Intermediate - Senior Developers to produce quality products and solutions for user needs.

**THE ROLE**:
In this role, you will be working closely with other members of the SLT to not only manage the architecture, design, and development of system components but drive the strategic direction of our clients’ products and services. You will identify the training and personal development needs of individuals within your team to ensure they are writing clean, well-structured, and documented code that is error-free. You will play a key role in representing your team for communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout end-to-end processes.

**ABOUT YOU**:
**REQUIRED SKILL SET**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in a commercial product development environment managing small development teams (at least 5 direct reports).
- Familiarity with Agile and Lean delivery methodologies for software development and delivery.
- Previous success in managing end-to-end projects within timeframe and budget.
- Ability to drive delivery and innovation across the team.
