Starship Hospital and the Child Health Directorate is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major national teaching centre. Starship provides a wide range of complex medical, surgical, cardiac and mental health services for children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific, using a whānau-centred approach. **Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Kaiwhakahaere Tautāwhi, Programme Lead will provide specialist clerical and administrative support to the Māori Health Team at Starship, and provide activity co-ordination, project coordination and cultural engagement.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
As an experienced Programme Lead, you will be someone that manages and nurtures new and existing relationships with internal and external stakeholders including: members of the Māori health team, iwi, kaupapa Māori providers, suppliers, kaimahi Māori and educators, volunteers etc. You will be an excellent organiser and communicator with a proactive, flexible and friendly attitude. You will have the multi-tasking ability and flexibility to work in this dynamic and ever-evolving environment, and will work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. No two days are the same in this challenging environment. There is the opportunity to take on a variety of stimulating project work. To succeed in this role you will have:

- At least two years secretarial experience
- At least two years business coordination experience in Māori environments
- Cultural intelligence and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent administrative, written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience organising events and training and related communications
- superb organisational skills along with a focus on outstanding customer service
- The ability to work autonomously as well as the ability to work well under pressure
- Negotiation and conflict management abilities
- Sound MS Office ability, including intermediate Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Access
- A sound knowledge of systems, including CMS and RCP
- Knowledge of Te Reo me ōna Tikanga
- Cultural competence & cultural safety
