Do you have compliance and leadership experience, and are you seeking a new job in New Zealand? Apex Group is looking for a Head of Compliance and Data Protection, to be based ideally in Auckland but open to consider those in Wellington.
As a Head of Compliance, you will be expected to be a trusted adviser, business partner, and leader to lead and support compliance matters in New Zealand. You will work closely with the local business leaders and key New Zealand stakeholders pursuant to the Compliance Charter of the company.
Your roles and duties are but not limited to:
- Lead, implement, maintain, and monitor adherence with the company's compliance framework, programme and policies like AML, data protection, ethics, conflict of interest, etc.
- Provide advice on compliance issues and regulatory requirements relating to our New Zealand businesses
- Be the first escalation point for any suspicious activity and report such activity to regulatory authorities as appropriate
- Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and the Data Protection Officer
- Prepare and pursue regular compliance reporting required by the Apex Group and local laws and regulations.
- A professional Compliance qualification
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with analytical capability and the ability to provide options and solutions to achieve results
- People management skills at all levels and working independently and as a team player
- The ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and manage timescales.
