**About the role**

Wellington City Council (the Council) maintains $8 billion in diverse assets for the city’s 215,000 residents. The Council’s property portfolio includes community facilities, corporate and commercial space, high-profile venues, heritage buildings and public housing.

Ventia have been engaged by the Council to provide facility management services including Scheduled Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, Low Value Quoted Works, and Capital Works (the Services).

An exciting role now exists for a Work Management Centre Operator in the Service Delivery - Local Government team Your role as a WMCO will be to provide a first point of communication and drive operations, capability and service efficiencies as part of the Work Management function for the FM Services Contract for Wellington City Council. The Work Management Centre ensures all planned, unscheduled and minor capital work activities is received, triaged, issued, managed, monitored and reported to ensure data integrity is maintained at all time as well as ensuring a reduction on contract administration.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Team you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

- Ensuring all reactive maintenance tasks are allocated to the appropriate resource to ensure rectification times are achieved.
- Monitoring progression of all work orders via the Maintenance Information System (MIS), as well as contributing to preparation of monthly help desk activity reports
- Ensuring there is real-time visibility and tracking capability across the lifecycle of a service work order from pre-commencement to job completion
- Ensuring provision of effective and efficient data processing, telephone liaison, coordination with various internal and external customers, general administrative duties.
- Assisting the Facility Managers with Monthly Maintenance reports and forward works plans, ensuring stakeholders are notified of all upcoming works and testing that may be disruptive to operations

**About you**

Ideally, you have a minimum of 3 years experience in a facilities environment managing a small team of people. You have demonstrable experience in similar role with a multi-faceted, complex entity will be highly regarded. Your organisation skills and well as your ability to prioritise your work in a fast-paced environment is second to none. You are also passionate about re-engineering business processes to increase efficiency, data integrity and effectiveness of information. You thoroughly enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to exceeding customer expectation
