**About the role**

Our client is expanding its footprint in New Zealand to cater to the refrigeration and air conditioning markets. We're seeking a Laboratory Technician to play a pivotal analytical role in refrigerant lifecycle management by ensuring the quality standards of raw material, in-process and finished products. Your expertise and commitment will help shape a greener future.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct sampling, testing, and analysis of samples and products.
- Manage lab quality systems, maintenance, calibration, & waste management.
- Utilize statistical analysis & control charts to enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and P&C policies.
- Collaborate with operations on quality control and assurance matters.
- Proficiently use laboratory equipment and interpret analytical data.
- Participating in ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO17025 compliance.

**Skills & Experience**
- University degree or diploma in Chemistry or related field.
- 3-5 years of laboratory or chemical industry experience.
- Well-developed Laboratory, Instrument and Communication skills.
- Wet chemistry experience and GC experience desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Internet Explorer, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with ASTM, ISO, AHRI 700 methods.
- Understanding of internal auditing and risk assessment is desirable.
