About the Role
We have an exciting new opportunity on-site at our Porirua - Wellington Warehouse.
The Build Engineer is responsible for providing highly visible customer support through the performance of device builds and repairs including any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.

**Role Responsibilities**:
**The Build Engineer is responsible for (but not limited to)**:
Serving as the company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
Interpreting customers’ needs and clarify if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers.
May include any aspect of build, repairs, or disposal support, including diagnoses and troubleshooting.
May include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy.

**Requirements**:
Knowledge
(Desirable but not essential for Graduate position)
Knowledge of the outsourced IT services market and infrastructure project requirements.
Experience with installation, diagnoses and repair of pc systems, end user devices and software (e.g. laptops, desktops, tablets, Intune, O365, current Windows Operating Systems)

**Skills**:(Desirable but not essential for Graduate position)
Ability to work on assignments of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Understands implications of work and exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.

Ability to frequently interact and network with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise.

Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to translate user needs into a technical solution.

Excellent customer relationship building and management skills.

Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Education
(Desirable not essential)
Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Science, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
