An opportunity has come up for an enthusiastic and innovative nurse to join a dynamic nursing team in a fixed term, part-time capacity as a Nurse Specialist for the Paediatric Consult Liaison team. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be involved in specialist mental health nursing care assessments and interventions and case management of children and young people and their families/whanau attending Starship Children's Hospital as inpatients and outpatients.
The work is complex and challenging. You will join a functional and highly skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team. Your previous experience in Paediatric Mental Health will enable you to be both flexible and responsive, practice autonomously and extend your leadership skills.

To be successful in this role you will
Have NZ Nursing Council registration with a current Annual Practising Licence
Have recent experience in Mental Health, ideally in paediatrics
Have completed a Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma in Child/Adolescent Mental Health or working towards completion.
Have a minimum of 3 years' experience post registration in relevant nursing specialty
Have a strong commitment to leading professional development, quality care and whānau centred nursing
