We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team, providing clinical oversight and expert assessment and treatment to children and youth in South Auckland.

About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and compassionate psychiatrist to work in a dynamic and values-driven environment. As a senior specialist, you will be responsible for leading the clinical team, providing consultation and liaison services to primary care partners, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver best-practice care. The role involves working closely with local communities, schools, and healthcare providers to promote mental health and wellbeing among children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior team members
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for complex cases
Conduct consultations and liaison services with primary care partners and community organizations
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in child and adolescent mental health

Requirements
Eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
Current Annual Practising Certificate with the NZMC
Demonstrated expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
