We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Charge Nurse, to work Monday to Friday (one year fixed term) with a group of dedicated professionals in Acute Oncology. This role is a Senior Nurse leadership position based at Oncology Outpatients.

The Oncology Service at Auckland City Hospital is comprised of a 27 bed Inpatient unit, Oncology Day Stay Unit and Outpatient clinics.

This is responsible for the provision of clinical expertise and leadership for the management of acutely unwell Oncology patients. We are looking for highly motivated, progressive and innovative nurses who will be able to strengthen the nursing care delivery and work collaboratively within the clinical teams. The team includes Oncologists, Fellows, Registrars, House officers, Charge Nurse, Nurse Specialists, a Nurse Educator, Allied Health and Registered Nurses who are all focused on improving the quality of care and providing a positive experience for patients and their whanau.

- New Zealand nursing registration, RGON, RN BHSc (Nursing)
- Postgraduate certificate/ diploma in speciality nursing practice
- Working Towards completion of Master’s Degree
- Minimum of five years’ experience post registration in relevant nursing specialty
- Sound understanding of professional ethics
- Preferably Chemotherapy Certified
- Oncological knowledge and experience
