We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, expert nurse to join our leadership team as a Clinical Charge Nurse.

This Orthopaedic elective unit is focused on managing elective joints and particularly patients on an ERAS pathway.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with demonstrated clinical excellence in orthopaedic nursing, proven leadership ability & excellent interpersonal skills to take the next step.

Associated responsibilities include leading a team of nurses towards professional development and promoting quality patient outcomes in a challenging clinical environment.

This role is a permanent full time position based at Te Toka Tumai.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

You will ideally be an experienced Registered Nurse with leadership experience in a tertiary hospital preferably within surgical services. You will have excellent communication skills and will be a driver of quality improvement initiatives with the focus on patient safety and excellence in delivery of care.
- Advanced clinical practice knowledge, with demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in a fast paced setting
- Commitment to providing excellent care
- Strong accountability for resource and budget management
- Current NZ Nursing Council Registration and an annual practicing certificate
- A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve these
- Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
- Ideally, you will have completed or working towards a post-graduate qualification.
