We are currently looking for Full-time Indian cooks in our busy restaurant based in Auckland. You must have wide knowledge of Indian dishes and spices. No qualification is required. At least one year relevant experience is must.
We pay market leading pay rates $27 to $32 depending upon experience. Minimum guaranteed hours per week will be thirty. However, you can grab more hours up to forty depending upon your performance.
**You will be performing below duties-**
- Examining food stuff to ensure quality
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Assists in the food preparation and prepare food items including Indian curries and tandoori dishes
- Seasoning food during cooking
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- Taking care of all food stuff stored in proper manner.
- make sure the proper cleaning and food hygiene.
- Serve every customer order within the time limit and without any delay.
- Plan the work to be done during quite hours so that efficient and quality services can be ensured during busy hours.
- Make ensure all equipment and tools are in working order and inform the Head Chef or management in case any disorder or break down occurs so that business should not suffer due to such occurrence.
- To ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times and to minimize wastage.
- Identify all existing hazards and ensure to adopt a safe working environment.
- Maintain and manage hygiene and safety standards in accordance with New Zealand Health and safety requirements.
- Such other tasks as reasonably requested by the supervisor which relate to the efficient running of the business.
- Recommendations to Management for modernization of equipment, service methods, presentation and improved guest satisfaction. Be in discipline and maintain work ethics Solve typical issues and odd situations politely and efficient keeping reputation of the business in mind.
