At Waitemata District Health Board, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our multidisciplinary Medicine Services team.
About the RoleWe require a General Medicine Physician with a subspecialty in Diabetes and Endocrinology to undertake outpatient sessions, inpatient care at Rotorua and Taupo hospitals, investigations/procedures, and on-call duties.
The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, and provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Providing medical services to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders
- Undertaking outpatient sessions and inpatient care at Rotorua and Taupo hospitals
- Conducting investigations and procedures as required
- Participating in on-call duties and providing after-hours cover
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Eligibility for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Strong clinical skills and experience in diabetes and endocrinology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Capacity to provide high-quality patient care
