Mō te tūnga | About the role
The Logistics Data and Analytics Architect is part of the Logistics Data Framework team and is responsible for determining and defining the structure, data quality and data security of logistics data used in the NZDF Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other logistics areas.
You will work closely alongside the Logistics Data Business Manager and be jointly responsible for the development and management of logistics data architecture, governance, analytics, modelling and information flows within the NZDF SAP system and associated areas. Your outputs will support the delivery of logistics business functionality and improvements. You will contribute to the development and implementation of the Logistics Data Strategy and logistics data maturity improvement plans. You will be responsible for the identification of strategic and operational requirements and priorities, and develop and deliver the agreed architecture, analytics and other solutions.

**You will be required to**:

- Analyse and vet the data and technical requirements and specifications for all Logistics programmes and projects where there is a data element included in the project;
- Identify gaps, weaknesses and technical conflicts in existing architecture and analytics, and ensure solutions, options, requirements and service levels are readily understood and viable;
- Lead the technical and architectural elements within the development of an effective logistics data governance framework to meet policy, data owners and wider NZDF requirements;
- Advise on and manage the technical and database practices and processes that help ensure the security, quality, integrity and availability of logistics data and data structures;
- Lead and manage the architectural aspects of the planning and delivery of the continuous improvements to logistics data accuracy, efficiency and value to the business;
- Lead the identification, development and use of system analytics to meet business requirements; and
- Evaluate logistics technical analytic needs, assess the problems to be solved, the data sources to use or create and develop and give effect to the introduction and regulation of such analytics including ongoing future development and technical innovation.

Occasional domestic travel is required. There is the potential for international travel to attend conferences and professional development opportunities.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone with significant in-depth expertise with SAP data structures and transaction relationships along with the ability to think strategically and innovatively about data improvement and usage and the impact on organisational ways of working.

**You will have**:

- Extensive SAP exposure and experience;
- Strong relationship management, engagement and communication skills with the ability to tailor your communication to different audiences and explain technical information to non-technical audiences;
- The ability to understand stakeholder end-user data issues, requirements and solutions, and translating these into effective action;
- Demonstrated, strong strategic and analytical problem solving skills including the ability to integrate and make sense of large amounts of complex data and provide relevant insights;
- Experience operating in a logistics process and information management environment;
- Experience using SAP ERP systems as either a consultant or systems super user would be an advantageous;
- Experience in business analytics, data, and solution architecture and design, including foundational data management domains; and
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.

As this role requires occasional travel a Full Class 1 Driver's Licence is required.
