About the Role (Your Why)
Our office for this role is based in Wellington. It would suit someone who has in-depth knowledge of UNIX/LINUX Systems, an analytical approach to problem solving and has experience working across multiple environments. A team player that looks for the best solution to support our clients.

**NOTE**: Due to customer security requirements, this role is open to NZ Residents who have lived in NZ for the last 5 years and Citizens only**

What You’ll Do
- Design, build and implement UNIX systems to agreed specifications.
- Perform business/technical requirements gathering and produce documentation.
- Lead projects or transitions as Technical Lead.
- Mentor and coach UNIX Engineers and/or Administrators.
- Present options and solutions, not problems.
- Independently manage small to medium-sized projects with mínimal guidance.
- Support the on-going operation of UNIX systems for Datacom and their customers

What You’ll Bring
- Specific knowledge of RedHat Systems.
- Additional knowledge of Unix / Linux - Solaris, AIX, Oracle Linux etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Ansible automation.
- Passionate about Automation and public cloud technologies.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work directly with our clients.
- A real eye for detail.
- An analytical approach to problem solving and the patience to work through a range of queries.
- A "can-do" attitude and enthusiastic approach.
- Knowledge and experience with BMC control-M would be beneficial.
- Openshift and Containerisation knowledge and skills.
