The Health Centre Administrator position is responsible for providing effective, efficient, and accurate administrative support to the Defence Health Centre in accordance with NZDF protocols and directives. It provides an important communication link between patients and health staff, and with other administration teams within NZDF.
As the Health Administrator, your duties will be wide-ranging, including (but not limited to):

- Actioning/processing accounts, purchasing and reimbursement claims, and maintaining spreadsheets as required;
- Greeting all visitors to the Health Centre, determining their needs, and directing them to the appropriate area;
- Assisting the Health Centre Manager with roster management; and
- Managing referrals to specialist health care as directed by clinical staff in accordance with NZDF processes.

We are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. You will be technically competent, a critical thinker, and a team player. You must have the ability to provide exceptional support to all internal and external stakeholders and be able to communicate confidently with a range of people across all levels of the business.
- A knowledge and understanding of medical terminology;
- An ability to be discreet and maintain absolute confidentiality of sensitive information;
- Ability to anticipate administrative needs of the health centre, clinical staff and patients to ensure an efficiently run health centre.
