We are looking for an individual to join us who is committed to the development of nurses and nursing practice. This role is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident and competent individual and is based within the People and Professional Development Team

The person we are seeking will bring leadership and a focus on quality through development of staff to community services. You will also work closely with and be part of the educator team providing support to the wider organisation.

This role is diverse, and the nurse educator will provide support to both District Nursing services across the region as well as supporting staff to provide patient centred care for Health of Older People, Adult Rehabilitation & Palliative Care at Pukekohe and Franklin Hospitals.

The successful applicant will:

- Be a registered nurse with a current APC
- Minimum four years clinical experience
- Proficient level nurse demonstrating leadership
- Be a skilled and credible practitioner
- Welcoming, friendly, gentle and encouraging
- Experience in delivering professional development and learning activities
- Be able to empower, facilitate and support development in others
- Be a confident and effective communicator
- Be able to create effective working relationships across a variety of arenas
- Always strive to improve standards of practice & be enthusiastic about new ideas
- High levels of cultural awareness
