This is an exciting opportunity for a Product Associate or someone looking to move to the Products team. The Product Associate will support the day-to-day management and delivery of a range of products. You will contribute to development and execution of strategies aimed at managing, maintaining and growing product performance. It is an opportunity to be responsible for end-to-end product management ensuring product portfolios are managed strategically to optimise financial performance and ensure they remain fit for purpose and relevant.

**What is the team culture and environment like?**

Team culture is right at the top of the list of priorities for our team. We're a highly collaborative team that are quick to support each other to create high output but also nurture an environment where we can challenge each other's thinking to make sure that we explore all perspectives to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and colleagues.

**What is your management style?**

The management team create a supportive and high functioning culture. We're very approachable, personable and are always looking to improve the way we work as a team so that everyone understands the value of the work that we do. We love a team that's prepared to share their ideas and thoughts and have high action orientated culture.

**What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?**

We're looking for someone who is self motivated, not afraid to take on new and unfamiliar work. Someone who's detail orientated, has strong interpersonal savvy, a forward thinker, a problem solver and believes in a strong positive collaborative team culture. We're constantly looking for ways to create new opportunities to learn and develop ourselves so that we can better deliver to our customers and colleagues. Key requirements include:

- Experience in dealing with senior levels of an organisation
- 1+ years' experience in the Banking, Finance, or related industries
- High standard of written and oral communication skills
- Ability to analyse financial information
- Ability to use tools such as Excel.

**What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?**

The Consumer Lending product team play a critical part of transforming BNZs consumer lending products and services moving into the future. We've got some huge plans to simplify our suite of products and services, we're always looking for exciting propositions to create opportunities for our customers and also want to make sure that we're managing our new and existing customers well but providing products that provide great benefits for our customers and their family/whanau.

**What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?**

With big plans there are always challenges, but these are exciting challenges. The consumer lending landscape is always shifting so making sure that we're on top of our regulatory obligations is critical, managing stakeholder relationships is extremely important, clear communication, having a clear idea of what our customers and colleagues are asking for and being able to pivot at a moment's notice is important so that we keep momentum moving forward.

**What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ?**

What I enjoy the most is being part of a team that genuinely wants to make a positive difference to our customers. Our team understands the incredible responsibility that we've been gifted, our mission is to help navigate more New Zealanders through their home ownership journey and we're lucky enough to have the support of others to try and help find a way.
