About the Role

We are looking for a talented Product Analyst to join Datacom’s Local Government product team, who create and maintain innovative software products used by councils across New Zealand and Australia.
This is an opportunity to be involved with the development of flagship web and mobile products that will be used by the public. Working with the wider team you'll tackle product development in a fun, relaxed culture with a focus on teamwork, quality, and innovation.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Represent the needs of the customers and users of our products while working closely with both the Product Management and Delivery teams, within business and technical constraints
- Actively participating in customer/competitor research, ideation and analysis activities
- Facilitating customer workshops
- Provide input into roadmap prioritisation based on research and analysis of value to existing customers and prospects in our addressable market
- Supporting the design process and assist the Product Manager to define customer needs
- As we work in public websites and apps, a special interest in UX - working with the Tech Lead and UX Lead to help create the overall solution design
- Develop deep product knowledge and be able to discuss product features both at a technical and functional level with the Delivery team and customers

About You
We are looking for someone who loves building high quality products. Along with excellent communication skills, you will have a keen eye for design and detail, and good user experience.
- Prior software delivery experience as a business analyst or product analyst
- Ability to build wireframes and prototypes focused on user experience
- Experience in a product business preferred
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results.
- Desirable: data driven research / analysis experience
- Curious and open to change
