We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health and Safety professional to join us, to be based in Auckland. This exciting opportunity will have you leading a team of health and safety practitioners to establish a cohesive and aligned practice. You will be working closely with the National Health and Safety Manager to support the implementation of the HEB health and safety strategy and will play a pivotal role in helping us fulfil our goal of making sure all our people get home safe and healthy. You will also lead several key H&S projects that deliver to our Health and Safety strategy.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Leading, coaching, and developing the Health and Safety Advisory team to ensure there is cohesive and aligned practice to deliver the nationwide programme of inspections, monitoring, investigations and training
- Providing support to the operational management team to ensure effective delivery of the health and safety strategy and annual plan
- Supporting your team to effectively lead incident investigations to ensure we gather organisational learning and implement improvements in a timely and effective manner
- Proactively building and developing effective relationships with managers, workers, suppliers and subcontractors
- Collaborating with the National H&S Manager to ensure effectiveness and alignment of current health and safety strategy and work programme
- Leading key health and safety projects and initiatives
- Monitoring, measuring and reporting on health and safety performance
- Delivering training and communication to ensure successful and sustainable implementation of health and safety initiatives
- Championing all HEB Construction health and safety procedures and requirements through active leadership
