We are seeking a proactive individual who possesses sound computer skills, excellent communication, and good logical reasoning to join our Auckland IT team as an IT Help Desk Analyst.
In this role, you will provide user guidance and support by assisting in problem resolution, as well as completing maintenance and administration of Server, Network, and Desktop infrastructure. You will also provide support to on-site and remote users for desktop and systems problems and inquiries.
**Responsibilities**
- Responds to user requests for information, listens effectively and gives clear instructions to users
- Maintains history records on Information Technology production problems
- Works with other members of the IT Team, including suppliers, in resolving complex technical problems
- Initiates corrective action or carries out instructions to resolve system problems
- Conducts software testing and network troubleshooting
- Supports other team members as required
**Skills and Experience**
- Relevant IT qualification
- Proven experience as an IT Help Desk Analyst or similar, preferably in a corporate environment
- Practical experience in Windows Desktop support, Windows Server and/or Network support
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound logic and analytical skills to resolve IT problems
- Well organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Knowledge with configuration and operation of computer systems, printers and mobile devices, particularly:
- Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Microsoft Office
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Windows Server
- Apple iOS and Google Android mobile devices
- Any additional skills with Microsoft technologies, virtualisation and wide-ranging software knowledge would be an advantage
