The primary objective of the Accounts & Payroll Asisstant role is to support the accounts payable and payroll functions within the Finance team. You will also be providing support to the wider Finance Team, assisting with ad hoc duties, and assisting with the month-end close.

This role is well suited to a finance professional at the start of their career and is an exciting opportunity to join a market leading global software company. The role will provide practical experience and exposure to transactional and general accounting.

You will be joining a close-knit team primarily based in New Zealand, with the opportunity to be involved on some exciting projects as the Vista Group continues to innovate change in the cinema industry.

**The Accounts & Payroll Assistant Role**:
The Payroll Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day payroll operations across the Vista group, including administration, payroll tax, superannuation, staying up to date with legislation changes and responding to internal and external payroll related queries.

The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for the day-today payable operations across the Vista Group, including supplier payments, obtaining invoice approvals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions and responding to internal and external payable related queries.

With the above points: you will be assisting and supporting the team to complete these tasks in an accurate and timely manner.

**Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines while having attention to detail and a structured approach to planning tasks
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Ability to handle and process sensitive information with the ability to work without immediate supervision and in a team environment
- A keen attitude to drive improvement and efficiencies
- Good written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
- Experience in Payroll
- Experience in banking platforms
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision
