At the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) our mission is to protect and enhance New Zealand's security and wellbeing. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence capabilities and every day we're helping protect Aotearoa and its interests.

As a Senior Advisor within the Enterprise Information Security Group, you will ensure that our policy drives an industry-leading approach that enables GCSB and NZSIS' missions. You will ensure policy outputs and deliverables are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with the NZIC INFOSEC Strategy. You will engage with key stakeholders to ensure INFOSEC policy advice can be practically implemented by the business and is consistent with the agencies' other legal and policy requirements.

Who are we looking for?

**Ideally you**:
Are a pragmatic and innovative problem solver with excellent people skills Have practical experience in information security or a related discipline
Are highly collaborative and able to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Have excellent written communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to plain English.

What do you need to know?

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
