Braemar Hospital is a prestigious private surgical hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand, dedicated to supporting nearly 200 credentialed specialists, including surgeons from many parts of the world, working at the highest level in their fields.

**The Opportunity**:
We’ve recently gone through some changes within our shared services area and we have established a need for a fixed-term (10 months) HR Advisor role to support with setting up our HR Services model within a hospital environment.

In terms of our workforce, we have around 210 employees located on a single site who work across a range of departments including clinical, hospitality and corporate administration roles. We also interact with our clients daily, with our nearly 200 credentialed specialists attending our facilities to perform surgical work.

No two days will be the same in this role. On any given day you could be involved in providing specialised generalist HR advice to our managers, supporting with recruitment activities including attending interviews, providing HR documentation (including offer documents and variation letters), and supporting our annual remuneration process.

It’s also likely you’ll be involved in a couple of large projects we have in the works to support the digitisation of our HR processes and procedures.

In this role, you will be working alongside a supportive General Manager, who is truly focused on this opportunity mutually enhancing your career and the organisations HR practices.

We see this role as being suitable for a strong HR Administrator or Coordinator looking for their next step, or perhaps you have been working in an Advisory role for a short time and you’re looking for a change.

To be successful:

- You will have proven HR administration experience including drafting employment offer documentation and variation letters;
- Ideally, some exposure to an HR generalist role where you have provided ER and HR advice to managers would be beneficial;
- You will possess strong attention to detail and you will be comfortable maintaining our high standards - even if that means you need to push back sometimes, or constructively challenge;
- You will have a vision of ‘what good looks like’ in the HR process space and a level of tenacity to support the journey;
- You will possess and exude a genuine passion for creating a great working environment and an ability to establish meaningful relationships across all levels;
- You will have strong written communication skills with a flair for developing policies and procedures, and excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines;
- Ideally, you’ll have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline;
- You don’t need a background in the health sector. We welcome applicants from different industries to our own, to attain innovative thinking and fresh ideas
