**Job Description**:
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be lead and/or support the technical design and delivery of multidisciplinary Power Generation, Future Fuels and Industrial Energy projects throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The role encompasses all aspects from bid preparation to client contact and design / study delivery from Concept through to FEED Definition levels. You will assist with mechanical design, calculations, front-end engineering studies, inter-discipline coordination, and final design drawings.
Our team of industry experts will support the development of your technical and project management capabilities, giving you the opportunity to deliver first class projects to a broad range of clients across the industry.
+ Technical input and delivery
+ Coordinating with discipline leads on large scale projects
+ Growing AECOM’s client base and specialist offering in the market
+ Providing support and guidance to junior engineers
+ Site visits, inspections and testing
+ Drafting design reports
+ Assisting with the preparation of proposals
+ Reviewing budget estimates and pricing schedules
**Qualifications**:
You will have a proven background in Energy and Industrial design and be able to demonstrate:
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
+ Chartered Engineer or member of a relevant professional association
+ 15 years+ experience iin mechanical engineering including energy, industrial, infrastructure and water
+ Knowledge of the local market in Australia/New Zealand
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Construction supervision experience is preferable
