**About the role**:
We are seeking a Kaiako (tutor) to deliver our Kāwai Raupapa - Certificate in Māori & Indigenous Arts programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress. Flexibility will be required to work some weekends and evenings
**About you**:
You should have:
- Te Maunga Kura Toi (Bachelor of Māori Art - L7) with a focus on an appropriate kaupapa Toi (Whakairo, Ngā Mahi ā te Whare Pora, Toi Ataata, Mau Rākau, Performing Arts), or equivalent, that demonstrates holding or showing equivalence for NZQA standards assessed in this programme
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalent
- Either attest equivalence for NZQA standards required to assess and moderate this programme OR hold the NZ Certificate in Assessment Practice (L4)
- Full and current NZ Driver License
**Experience**:
- Minimum two years of proven experience teaching adult learners
- Proven experience and expertise in Māori art world with specific skills in relevant kaupapa toi
- Whilst teaching experience is highly valued at TWoA, newly qualified Kaiako with relevant qualifications but with no or limited previous teaching experience will also be considered._
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
