We are looking for several Project Management Consultants to join our Project Management & Controls team in Auckland. This team provides financial and commercial project support across a range of high-profile transport engineering projects that you will be proud to put your name to. This role will suit those with attention to detail, experience with financial, change, and risk management and a focus on a career in project management.

Our team is expanding and growing due to the successful outcome of a key project pursuit in Auckland, adding to our existing success in the market.

We are recruiting the following roles:

- 1 x Project Management Consultant
- 1 x Senior Project Management Consultant
- 2 x Lead Project Management Consultants

What will you do?

This role presents a unique opportunity for someone with some financial management experience to broaden their knowledge across all project management competencies. You’ll join our existing team of Project Management Consultants to assist with the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects for our key clients.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

- Develop financial project baselines
- Track financial performance including invoicing, forecasting and earned value reporting
- Assist the Project Manager to track scope (change control)
- Work with the Project Manager to meet key milestones and track timelines (scheduling)
- Assist the Opportunity Manager with cost estimation and approvals in line with Aurecon’s Delegation of Authority processes
- Assist the Project Manager to setup projects including establishing the works breakdown structure and project plans
- Assist the Project Manager with progress reporting
- Assist the Project Manager with the execution of minor works contracts and sub-consultancy agreements
- Take responsibility for project control by ensuring that Aurecon project methodology and systems are applied to your projects
