Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
Te Puna Aonui is seeking a talented Communications Advisor to deliver high quality communication services for government and with communities.
This role will help to enable the delivery of Te Aorerekura - the National Strategy to Eliminate Family Violence and Sexual Violence. The Communications Advisor will have experience in communications planning and delivery, strong writing skills and the ability to manage digital platforms.
This will be a good role for someone who likes to be busy and work with others to develop solutions and innovate.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to plain language and accessibility.
- Proven experience in communications planning and implementation, with a focus on digital communication and web management.
- Good organisation and relationship management skills.
A working knowledge of analysis and theory of family violence and sexual violence, including violence toward whānau, is of benefit to all roles in Te Puna Aonui. Alternatively, a commitment to learning and development in this area, through Te Aorerekura and the workforce capability frameworks is necessary.
Wheako Mahi/ Work Experience
- Experience developing effective communication plans and products tailored to reach diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in working with senior leaders in a large and complex organisation, preferably within the public sector.
- Ability to distil complex information and provide advice on communications management.
Ko wai mātou/Who we are
Te Puna Aonui is made up of ten government agencies leading government strategy, policy and investment to eliminate family violence and sexual violence in Aotearoa New Zealand.
This role is based in Te Puna Aonui business unit to support agencies to effect change from a whole system perspective. We work across government, with tangata whenua, communities, NGOs and private organisations to implement Te Aorerekura - the National Strategy to Eliminate Family Violence and Sexual Violence.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,518 and $90,865 based on skills and experience.
