**Junior Design Engineer**

The focus of the position is on:

- Contributing to requirements capture, analysis and modelling, design and code reviews, and the team's codebase.
- Implementing high-level designs under supervision in a variety of software languages such as.NET C#, C++, Python, Javascript.
- Contributing to testing, verification, and maintaining the continuous integration system.
- Collaborating, developing and sharing knowledge as part of a self-empowered team which continuously improves its way of working.

You will have the opportunity, and are expected to participate in, designated design tasks with your team. This role offers exposure to a range of professional development opportunities across a variety of engineering disciplines.

**Ō pūkenga - About You**
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of agile development principles and software design patterns, including OOP, API design, and asynchronous techniques.
- Be competent in at least one statically-typed and one dynamically-typed language, and associated unit testing frameworks.
- Have experience performing in a team environment towards a common goal, demonstrating effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly in writing.
- Have practiced solving technical problems through investigation, prototyping and testing ideas, and collaborating with others when appropriate.
- Demonstrate a learning mindset, and be driven to grow their craft and career.

Web front end experience using a modern framework such as React or Vue.js would be a bonus.
