Vercoe Insurance Brokers are a reliable and trusted brand that has been servicing the Waikato’s farming, personal and business insurance needs for over 50 years. With continuous growth in the region we’re looking for someone to take on an established book in the Morrinsville office. This is an opportunity to work with a respected and established Senior Broker as he eventually transitions out of the business. As this exit won’t be immediate, there will be plenty of scope to build relationships across his portfolio as well as your own clients within a well-known and well supported business.

The Morrinsville branch is home to a team of twelve staff that ranges in experience from new to industry through to long standing, incredibly experienced and capable. This particular book of business is comprised of a mix of clients with rural, commercial and domestic policy requirements.

**Key Areas of Accountability**
- Support this Senior Broker with his vast, successful book, whilst he gradually hands over, building your own trusted relationships.
- Drive revenue growth in the business - through looking for opportunities to grow your own book of business following referrals and self-generated leads across domestic, commercial and rural lines.
- Report through to the co-owners based in branch - there’s a huge amount of knowledge and industry experience accessible to you to grow your career.
- 2-3 years’ experience in commercial broking - you don’t need to bring a book with you, but have the ability to take on and build one and maximize the growth in the region.
- Solutions focus is important - we’re after a positive team player who can drive performance.
- A strong track record of delivering to targets, providing positive customer experience and with solid tenure in roles.
- Exceptional communication skills, strong financial literacy and an innovative and human centric approach.
- Negotiating with insurers to ensure the best outcome for the client.
- Assisting with claims to ensure pleasing settlement for clients.
- Be a team player, willing to adapt and learn from those around you.
